Molson Coors Inc.

Long before the investment portfolio challenge, I read an article on the NY Times website about the merger between Molson and Coors. The article proclaimed the merger to spell future success for the company, and so Molson Coors was one of the first companies I decided to invest in. After performing a decent amount of research, I didn't find anything alarming that indicated future growth or loss, and made the plunge.

17 days after I bought it, I sold my entire ownership of Molson Coors for a loss of about $60. Just like my research predicted, its performance was average; unfortunately, during the investment challenge, average performance wasn't enough to break even, and I suffered moderate loss. I sold the company not because I thought it would continue to drop in price, but rather to free up money to buy stocks I felt held more promise.
